Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is a discipline that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics and dance with apparatus handling. Gymnasts work with rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon alongside developing the skills required for body strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Musicality is developed through devised sequences showing body rotations, balances and elevated leaps which combine grace, coordination, agility and artistry.

APPA-NI's Continental high performance Rhythmic Floor allows coaches to prepare gymnasts for competition on the only full size rhythmic floor in Northern Ireland.

APPA-NI has Espoir, Development and Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Squads. Selection is by invitation.
